First, he graduated with a biology degree from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, and then earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT. During his time in medical school, Dr. Raissis volunteered his time providing ambulatory care to underserved homeless and migrant populations.
To complete his training, Dr. Raissis completed his residency at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and his fellowship at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He then earned his board certifications in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery.
Today, Dr. Raissis uses his expertise to provide colorectal care for conditions like Crohn's disease, prolapse, fistulas, and colorectal cancer.
